Black Chirnells Cottage is a stone built cottage located on
a quiet rural road approx. 2 miles from Rothbury, the nearest market
town.

o The Black Chirnells Cottage website is comprehensive, providing
information on the cottage itself, its facilities as well as the
surroundings, and is well provided with Google maps, illustrating
the many attractions available within touring distance.
o Bookings/enquiries can be made directly from the website via email,

in different font size).

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
o The cottage is located at the side of a rural road and car parking
is available directly outside the cottage (no dropped curb). There
is sufficient parking for two cars on the gravelled surface.
Main Entrance & Reception
o The main entrance is the front gate, fitted with a digital lock.
o Codes are issued to guests prior to arrival.
o The front gate is hinged on the left.
o The front gate opens on to a footpath leading to the front door,
which is hinged on the right, and also has a digital lock, the code
for which is issued to guests prior to arrival.
o There is a step up to the front door, 5 cm high. There is a mat
inset into the tiled floor on entering through the front door. The
non-slip ceramic tiles are terracotta.
o The front door opens into the entrance hall.
o There is a light switch on the left hand wall.

o The kitchen leads into the sitting room to the left. On the right
hand side wall, a fire blanket is fitted at 100 cm high.
o On entering through the door from the hall, there is a well-designed
open 'U' shaped kitchen. The work surface is 92 cm high and 60
cm deep.
o The sink and electric ceramic hob are 92 cm high. Above the hob
is an extractor unit. A microwave is also available.
o Good quality white crockery is available in the wall cupboards.
o The electric oven can be accessed from the sides as well as the
front. The main oven door shelf is 78 cm high. The double fridge/freezer
is located on the right hand of the 'U'.
o The kitchen is lit by two separate sets of lights, one ceiling
(spot) set and one concealed set under the wall cupboards, above
the working surfaces.
