Ryecroft
Cottage is surrounded by spectacular scenery in the National
Park. It nestles in a wooded valley in the tiny settlement of Swindon,
where the Swindon Burn and Grasslees Burn flow into the meandering
River Coquet, just 7 miles from Rothbury.
Lush green pastures are overlooked by the Simonside Hills, covered
with woods, bracken and heather. The area is rich with wild flowers
and teeming with unusual birds and other wildlife: rabbits can often
be seen playing in the cottage garden. It's ideal for walking and
cycling.
Ryecroft
is a traditional single-storey 19th Century stone cottage. It was
completely refurbished in 2002 to provide a high standard of comfort
for 4 people (+ baby), including: one double and one twin bedroom;
full central heating with plenty of hot water; optional log fire;
fully tiled bathroom with heated towel rail and over-the-bath shower;
top quality kitchen equipment including dishwasher, washer/dryer
and microwave; and colour TV with video. There are fully fenced
gardens and children are welcome.
