Rothbury & Coquetdale Tourism Association (RACTA)
is a voluntary organization consisting of diverse businesses in
and around Rothbury and in Coquetdale. It's aims are to promote
healthy tourism to the area for the benefit of the people of Rothbury
and Coquetdale and the visitor alike.
The Association has an Annual General Meeting to which all members
are welcome and Committee meetings as the need arises. Members are
kept regularly informed of the state of business and vacancy clearing
lists are circulated amongst the accommodation providers. Members
are also encouraged to Feedback to the committee at any time on
any matter concerning tourism and the environment.
New members are always welcome to the ranks. Contact
us if you have a business that is related to tourism - if you
find that your takings go up in the summer months then your business
is almost certainly tourism-related!

Membership fees for year 2011- 2012 continue at £20 for retail
members. The fee for accommodation providers remains at £36
and for those with multiple businesses, each additional business
incurs an extra half-fee.
Example - In the year quoted, a hotel with restaurant, gaining exposure
on two pages (accommodation plus retail), would incur a fee of £36
+ £10.
